1. Introduction

Proximal humeral fractures and dislocations are a common presenting complaint that is assessed and managed by emergency physicians.  Severe proximal humerus fracture dislocations have been reported rarely in the literature. (refs)

We present a case report of intrathoracic proximal humerus fracture dislocation following low-energy trauma with particular attention to Emergency department management and triage.
